On July 14-15th, 2007, ISKCON Toronto will be celebrating our 35th Annual Ratha-Yatra: Festival of Chariots. Toronto's Ratha-Yatra has the unique distinction of being accredited by Madhuha das, the organizer of the traveling Festival of India tour, as having the largest Ratha-Yatra in North America, drawing over 35,000 people! The festival kicks off with a parade on the Saturday at 11:00 a.m. and makes its way down Yonge Street, carving it's way right through the heart of downtown Toronto. Following the parade Lord Jagannath, Lady Subhadra and Lord Balaram travel to the Centre Island in Lake Ontario in a pleasant ferry ride, staying there overnight with festivities continuing on the Sunday.

This year's festivities will be highlighted with the theme of "International ISKCON", showcasing Prabhupada's impact on the world along with the positive role that ISKCON plays in different parts of the globe. A special presentation will be "Prabhupada: World Memories" where we will have many Prabhupada disciples sharing stories of Srila Prabhupada from his preaching around the world. Already confirmed to attend are HH Jayadvaita Maharaj, HH Candramauli Maharaj, HH Bhaktimarg Maharaj, HG Malati Prabhu, HG Dravida Prabhu, HG Yadubar Prabhu, HG Vishakha Prabhu & HG Krishna Nandini Prabhu.

Toronto's Ratha-Yatra will host the Youth Ministry's bus tour. Festival site will have two stages packed with exciting plays, dances , rocking kirtans, rock bands and lots of drumming sessions!!! There will be sumptuous Prasadam available to be relished by the pleasant lake side.
